NFL Power Rankings, Week 12: Rams bounce back with win over Bears
By Dan Parzych
31. Washington Redskins (31)
Just when it seemed like the Washington Redskins couldn’t find a way to hit a new low on what has been a horrendous 2019 season, the team found a way to be embarrassed in front of their own fans by losing to the New York Jets.
Since this year has been somewhat of a struggle as well for the Jets, this seemed like the perfect opportunity for the Redskins to finally earn a win for the first time since October when they managed to earn a win over the Miami Dolphins.
Instead, Washington continues to show just how much of a disaster this team is, and the most frustrating factor of all is how difficult the Redskins make it to evaluate Dwayne Haskins on offense.
Most rookie quarterbacks tend to struggle during their first NFL season, but the Redskins haven’t exactly done the best job in putting Haskins in good enough position to succeed on offense.
Part of the reason behind Washington’s decision to select Haskins back in April was to hopefully find a quarterback of the future since Case Keenum was only part of the short-term plans.
But until the Redskins provide the rookie with the proper players to work with on offense, it’s going to be difficult to determine if Haskins is the right answer.
