Kyler Murray could give Rams similar issues in Week 13 like Lamar Jackson

If Monday’s game against Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens is any indication, Kyler Murray could give the Los Angeles Rams just as much trouble in Week 13.
Entering Week 12, the Los Angeles Rams knew they were going to have their hands full trying to keep Lamar Jackson in check, but no one expected the defense to look as bad as they did.
And even though rookie Kyler Murray is nowhere near the same level as Jackson since the Ravens quarterback is the current MVP frontrunner for a reason, the Oklahoma product could still cause plenty of problems for the Rams’ defense on Sunday.
Last spring, the Cardinals knew they were taking a risk moving on from Josh Rosen after only one season to pave the way for Murray, but it’s only taken a few months for Arizona to realize this was the best decision they could have made.
All due respect to Rosen since the current Miami Dolphins quarterback could still develop into a top player across the league, but Murray’s explosive style of play with the ability to be just as much of a threat on the run makes him the much better option for the Cardinals.
Like most rookies, Murray still has a few areas in need of improvement before he can be viewed as a top quarterback in the league, but also the argument can be made the youngster has performed better than expected in his first NFL season.
Early on in the season, a Week 13 meeting with the Cardinals seemed like it would be an easy win for the Rams, but all Los Angeles needs to do is look at how close Arizona kept things in both meetings with the San Francisco 49ers to show this is far from the case.
As previously mentioned, Murray is nowhere near the same level as Jackson at the moment, but the two quarterbacks to share a similar style of play that resulted in Los Angeles struggling on defense this past Monday.
So if the Rams fail to make the necessary adjustments to avoid what took place against Jackson and the Ravens, Murray could very well make Los Angeles pay for it.
And unlike the 49ers, the Rams may not be so lucky to escape with the win against the Cardinals if the last few weeks are any indication of what to expect.
