LA Rams select Jordan Elliott, DT Missouri
The Rams take a defensive tackle in the sixth round. This time, their guy is Jordan Elliott of Missouri. Elliott stands 6-feet-4 weighing 315 pounds. He might be mistaken for the immovable object.
Elliott played two seasons at Missouri after transferring from Texas in 2016. Due to the NCAA-transfer-eligibility rules, he sat out the 2017 season. All in all, he played in 26 college football games.
Elliott made 76 total tackles with 18 being for lost yards, and he collected 5.5 sacks. Most importantly, Elliott wants to be a very good football player.
Dave Matter, of stltoday.com, writes the following about one coach’s opinion of Elliott:
"“He’s transformed his body and he’s transformed more than anything his motor and his willingness to do it,” Odom said earlier this season. “He’s a talented guy that’s going to play ball for a long time. And he’s so explosive. Those things that have happened, in my opinion, for a number of reasons. One, he’s completely changed his diet. Number two, he works extremely hard in the weight room. Then three, maybe most importantly, he takes coaching.”"
Elliott and Donald would be a tough duo for opposing linemen to block. Speed is the best asset a defensive tackle can possess. Quickness off the line of scrimmage makes him unblockable inside the trenches.
This next player might make turn heads.
