The scripted message is positive
The message by the Rams this off-season seems to be a scripted unified front. Both head coach Sean McVay and general manager Les Snead are assuring sports writers and pundits that the Rams have detected problems with the 2019 running game, and are taking every step to correct the problems going forward into the 2020 NFL season.
We also know that the Rams have a meeting scheduled with running back Todd Gurley in the near future. The scope of that meeting will be a somewhat deep-dive into Todd Gurley’s perspective as to what is malfunctioning with the running game, and to collaborate with both Coach McVay and GM Snead on a course of action to remedy the situation.
We also know that NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport has indicated that everything is on the table. A mid-March roster bonus kicks in for the running back in mid-March, so you can expect developments on this news story to follow quickly after the outcome of the players vote on the proposed CBA is determined in the next day or so. Until that happens, you should expect nothing but positive messages from the LA Rams on Gurley’s future.
