Rams ST/ Defense

From the moment the LA Rams announced the hiring of Special Team Coordinator John Bonamego, the Rams special teams’ play upgraded across the board.  That optimism was reinforced when the team organized a press conference to introduce their new coordinators.

The LA Rams will fall off many Fantasy Football rosters in 2020, simply from the inability of the team to retain top stars. But the team will have two reasons to keep them among the top performers.  The team will boast one of the best NFL secondaries in 2020, not just in yards allowed but in turnovers as well. And the team has hired Special Teams Coordinator John Bonamego who will elevate the overall play of the Rams’ special teams.

Rams K Greg Zuerlein

Special teams are about to become very special for the LA Rams once more. The addition of ST coordinator John Bonamego has pushed the Rams special team up a notch.  That means the Rams kicking game will be even more effective in 2020.

Zuerlein was one of the top kickers in Fantasy Football in 2019. That will likely continue if he remains with the Rams. He is a free agent in 2020, which can change some things. But if the Rams go youth movement in 2020, I would not hesitate to sign the new kicker onto my Fantasy team.

WR Cooper Kupp can take the LA Rams passing game to the next level. light. Trending

WR Cooper Kupp

LA Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp was their top producer in 2019, and will likely do far better in 2020, his contract year. The most surprising fact of 2019 is that Kupp had just returned from a devastating ACL injury in 2018.  In sharp contrast to a declining offensive production around the team, Kupp’s production improved in yards and touchdowns. Now that he is entering his contract season, he has even more incentive to attract the spotlight.

Kupp is the larger target of the Rams receivers. As such, he’ll continue to get he share of looks and targets. Once the ball is in the air heading his way, Kupp makes it a point to come down with the ball. We project Kupp will earn 1,440 yards and 14 touchdowns in 2020, good enough for a top-five spot in most PPR fantasy leagues.
