Everson Griffen would make an immediate impact for the LA Rams
Everson Griffen is an unsigned free agent that LA needs to grab. The former Minnesota Viking edge rusher would make his mark on the hearts of Rams fans. He is an older version of Fowler.
Griffen was taken by Minnesota in the fourth round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He played collegiately at the University of Southern California. How cool would it be for Griffen to play out his career in LA?
The 10-year veteran made 355 tackles while hitting the quarterback 176 times. He collected 74.5 sacks in his Minnesota career. Griffen likes to get after the quarterback. LA could really use him, immediately.
How much would his contract be worth if LA signs him? His career earnings total is $34,795,000, according to spotrac.com. The Rams could give him a raise, from 2019, by paying him just over $6.5 million per year.
Griffen turned 32 years old in December. He would be an invaluable part of the rotation along the defensive line. He stands 6-feet-3 weighing 273 pounds. He could play well in the Rams 3-4 or 4-3 defensive front.
LA should really take a look at Griffen. There is another defensive player who could help now.
