The LA Rams have signed 2020 free agent players, but have not announced signing OLB Leonard Floyd. Do the Rams have buyer’s remorse?

The LA Rams have not exactly splashed the headlines with 2020 NFL Free Agency signings. But the team did manage to conduct itself within an incredibly narrow band of available cap space, re-signed critical players, and had enough to sign additional veterans to help fill vacancies in the 2020 roster.

Or so the story goes so far. Spotrac.com has the LA Rams available cap space for 2020 at $2,266,845. That’s not very much to have in reserve, particularly if the team has midseason injuries requiring adding more talent to be added to the roster.

The Rams have brought back blocking tight end Johnny Mundt and center Coleman Shelton on one-year deals for minimal salaries, worth $750,000 and $675,000 respectively.  The team also re-signed versatile inside offensive lineman Austin Blythe to a one-year deal worth $3.9 million.

And finally, the team signed defensive lineman A’Shawn Robinson to a two-year deal worth $17 million total, and $9,500,000 guaranteed. Then the team re-signed left tackle Andrew Whitworth for three-years, $30,000,077, with $12,500,000 guaranteed. Essentially, the contract is for one year at $12.5 million.
