Getting the band back together
Today, Michael Brockers joins teammates Coleman Shelton, Johnny Mundt, Andrew Whitworth, Austin Blythe, and Donte Deayon in returning to the team. Yes, the majority of players re-signed are offense, offensive line to be more specific. The Rams had no other option but to retain left tackle, Andrew Whitworth. Conversely, the Rams moving to re-sign center Austin Blythe was a mild surprise.
But bringing back Brockers boosts the Rams run defense significantly. While the Rams likely had higher priorities, our analysis of Brockers’ contribution to the team confirmed that he was a superior run defender, and his locker room presence would be impossible to replace.
More free agent signings that were made official today: Michael Brockers to the Rams, De'Vondre Campbell to the Cardinals, Bradley Roby to the Texans and Barkevious Mingo to the Bears.

The move has not yet included the details of how the team has found funds to do so. The latest Over the Cap.com iteration estimates the LA Rams cap space at just $2.9 million and does not yet reflect the contracts for either Michael Brockers or OLB Leonard Floyd in the calculation.
