LA Rams: 7 Round NFL Mock Draft 6.1 – Early April 2020

LA Rams select A.J. Green, CB Oklahoma State
Since the NFL is becoming more of a passing league, LA selects A.J. Green. He played cornerback at Oklahoma State. Green faced high potent aerial attacks each week in the Big 12 Conference.
The Rams could use Green as the slot corner. His physical presence could shut down the smaller opposing slot receivers. Green stands 6-feet-1 weighing 190 pounds.
He improved his draft stock at his pro day work out at Oklahoma State. He thought he had a disappointing NFL Combine experience. Scott Wright of the oklahoman.com wrote the following:
"After clocking a slow time with what he described as back tightness at the combine, … the former Cowboy cornerback rebounded on Tuesday, handling the pressure with a sense of comfort. “This was one of my last shots … so I had to make it count,” Green said. “This is something I been working for my whole life, ever since I was a little toddler, so I’m almost at the finish line. … With all 32 teams in attendance, Green said he was told by scouts that his times on two 40s clocked anywhere from mid-4.4-second range to mid-4.5. …"
There is no guarantee that LA will be able to sign Ramsey to a new contract. The selection of Green gives the Rams some insurance.
