In a national show of support, the LA Convention center joins venues across the US to participate in the #LightBlue initiative. Here’s how you can too

The LA Rams are not the only noteworthy bit of news in Los Angeles right now. You see, Los Angeles is one of 24 major US cities that will participate in #LightBlue, which will take place at 8:00 pm local time.  The press release is here and is an optimistic undertaking designed to show support of the entire nation for essential workers who have placed themselves at risk to serve others.

The plan is to turn the skylines of cities across this nation into a “beacon of blue”. The transformation is a giant “Thank you” on April 9, and weekly thereafter,  What can you do? You are  encouraged to participate in the tribute by wearing blue, sharing #LightItBlue
images and messages on social media.

This initiative originated in the UK, but the #LightBlue initiative has been embraced by a group of leaders from the events and entertainment industries to visualize and express their gratitude for the millions of Americans at the frontline of this crisis.

Workers who serve our needs at retail, medical, and other essential services to ensure our lives remain as normal as possible are doing so much for others right now. To show your thanks, you are invited

"to join in at home by wearing blue, decorating windows and doorways with blue and sharing their own images or messages to essential workers with the hashtag #LightItBlue. Join the conversation and follow along on Twitter using @LightItBlue.- per the #LightBlue press release"

Next. Should LA Rams add to backfield and trade for 49ers RB Matt Breida?. dark

I have many friends and relatives who work in essential services like healthcare, grocery stores, and more.  I will be participating in the tribute. I hope you will too.
