LA Rams: 2020 NFL Draft – post Cooks trade Mock Draft 7.1

The LA Rams have added another second-round pick in the Brandin Cooks trade. Here’s an updated 7 round mock draft
The LA Rams traded Brandin Cooks and a 2022 round 4 pick to Houston. In return, LA gains another second-round pick in the upcoming NFL Draft. Expect the Rams draft strategy to change with the extra pick.
The LA Rams have five selections in the first four rounds. There is a wealth of talent available in most positions. Is it possible that Les Snead takes a quarterback with that extra selection at the 57th overall spot?
Also, the Rams could continue to stockpile offensive linemen. In rounds two and three, LA could almost draft a complete offensive line with those four picks. Maybe they find RB Todd Gurley’s replacement at pick 57?
There’s a slim chance that LA moves up into the first round. Jalen Ramsey would be the player dealt to get a first-round pick. Ramsey becomes a free agent in March 2021.
The Rams have to recoup some of the assets that they lost in the Ramsey trade. The team traded away two first-round picks for a cornerback that will, no doubt, sign with the highest bidder. The Rams salary cap space is not in good shape, currently.
With that in mind, here is how the Rams approach the draft. They now have seven selections but are very early round heavy. Let’s take a look.
