Jefferson is a bigger option than Cooks at the slot receiver. He would instantly create a mismatch with opposing slot cornerbacks. Most of all, he gives Jared Goff a larger target to throw towards.

Lance Zierlein of nfl.com compares him with former Green Bay receiver Greg Jennings. Zierlein gives his opinion of Jefferson’s skill set in the following quote:

"A quarterback’s best friend, … He’s slippery in space and able to stab and save throws with quick hands and fluid body adjustments. Teams looking for an inside/outside possession receiver with the size and savvy to make chain-moving catches could push Jefferson up the board."

LA has two picks in the second round. The Rams will have to take Jefferson as the 52nd overall spot because he might get taken before the Rams pick again at #57.
