LA Rams pick Quartney Davis, WR Texas A&M

The Rams select Quartney Davis to replace Cooks in round 6. Davis played collegiately at Texas A&M. In his college career, Davis caught 99 passes for 1201 yards with 11 touchdowns and averaged 12.1 yards per catch.

Davis decided to leave college early for the NFL. He played in the 2020 Senior Bowl for the North team. He caught four passes for 53 yards. Davis received an invitation to attend the NFL Combine.

He had a good performance in Indianapolis. He measured 6-feet-1 weighing 201 pounds. Davis ran a respectable 4.54-second 40-yard dash. He’s not a speed burner but can get the job done with his skill set.

Joe Marino of thedraftnetwork.com writes the following:

"Route technician with exceptional footwork. Deceptive and does well to set up breaks. Stays leveraged and doesn’t tip his routes. Keeps defensive backs guessing and does well to create leverage in the short to intermediate areas of the field. Easy accelerator and he glides in full stride. Not afraid to work the middle and compete through contact. Good balance and body control. Not dominant in contested situations but he comes out with some impressive grabs. Smooth separations quickness. Competitive and decisive after the catch."
