There are four positions that the LA Rams need to address in the upcoming 2020 NFL Draft – here’s a sneak peek
The LA Rams are still very close to making a deep playoff run in 2020. Despite offseason hurdles, the team has made difficult decisions but ones that needed to be made. All that remains are four positions that the Rams should address in the upcoming 2020 NFL Draft.
Looking back at the last two Rams drafts in 2018 and 2019, the team had selected five offensive linemen. During that span, the Rams had selected four tackles and one center. And the Rams had a potent passing offense, last season. The offensive line gave up the fewest sacks in the NFL with 22. However, they were not able to be the running game going. The Rams averaged 93.7 rushing yards per game, which ranked near the bottom of all NFL offenses.
There is no question that the NFL is creeping towards being more of a passing league. Nevertheless, running the football is a very important part of winning games. and the Rams have always prided itself on power running attacks.
Perhaps, the nature of pass protection has changed the rushing attack. Recently, it appears as though offensive linemen are encouraged to open cut back lanes instead of pushing the defensive lineman downfield. There is always a need for aggressive linemen on the Rams draft list.
Here is the first player who would bolster the Rams roster at his position.
