Los Angeles Rams 2020 NFL Draft No Trade – Mock Draft 1.2
Round 2 pick 52: RB Jonathan Taylor
I’ve already written about who the Rams should take at 52 and I’m not changing it either. Running back Jonathan Taylor from Wisconsin is, in my opinion, the best back in the class. Fortunately, most graders disagree as they have him as the third or fourth-best running in this class. What do those grades mean? That he’ll be available at 52.

Taylor is strong, has good hands, and will for sure punch you in the mouth if you try to tackle him. He is a great one-cut back who had an average of 2,000 rushing yards per season in college. He excels at finding a hole to cut through it or bouncing to the outside if the opportunity presents itself. Once in open space he still shifty and will fall forward while being tackled.
He is a bit short at 5-foot-11 and a weight of 224-pounds, but it seemed to serve him well as he has a shorter center of gravity which makes him harder to bring down. He has a high career average of 6.7 yards per attempt while rushing with a 9.7 yards per catch.
He will hit the ground running (literally) and be a cheap replacement for replacing Todd Gurley. What more could you want in his replacement? His number, 23, is open fo the taking and the Rams can’t draft anybody better to wear it.
