Round 3 pick 84: C Tyler Biadasz

In the NFL there are two places where you can get surefire offensive lineman in the draft, Iowa, and Wisconsin, and offensive center Tyler Biadasz is from Wisconsin. While I believe it was a lack of cohesion of offensive line play that was due to injury and not the personnel, the Rams still need to address the position. With Allen having a rough start before getting hurt and Blythe under a one year deal, Biadasz would be a great option to solidify the line.

Biadasz is 6-foot-3 and weighs in over 300 pounds. He is an outstanding run blocker who knows how to push a defense back. Because of that, he was one of the reasons Taylor had success running the ball for the past three years. He is also effective in the pass allowing only 4 sacks in 3 years. Because of his solid play, he won the Rimington Award for being the best center in the country.

Also. LA Rams depth chart too shallow at these positions before NFL Draft. light

What might cause him to drop? Knee and hip injuries are what concerns most people about his durability. Those issues were made worse by some regression from his sophomore to junior year. Biadasz also tends to be weak against bull rushes by stronger defenders. This isn’t good as it can cause a pocket to collapse. That issue might get worse in the NFL as he goes up against more grown men.

Even with that issue, Biadasz’s positive should outweigh his negatives. He would be great for Jonathan Taylor and would provide immediate competition for the starting spot at center. He was a projected first-round pick before the combine. He’s still talented and should be available for the Rams should end his slide.
