Los Angeles Rams 2020 NFL Draft Grades
Round 3
Pick 84 – EDGE Terrell Lewis (Alabama): Yes, another position that the Rams lost their starter from 2019, in this case, both outside linebackers are no longer with the team.
After failing to offer Dante Fowler Jr. an extension, and cutting ties to veteran Clay Matthews, the Rams defense, the unit the most suffered the cap strap, had an immense need, and they covered it with a player who has amazing capabilities.
Terrell Lewis is no short of a great player, in fact, he can do it all in terms of coverage or getting opposing quarterbacks some pressure.
For me, his talent screams “first-round”, but, sadly, his career has been derailed because of the multiple injuries he has sustained.
Yes, we signed former Chicago Bears 9th overall pick Leonard Floyd. But let’s be honest, neither us nor the front office and coaching staff views recent free-agent signing and as a long-term answer; at least his one-year $10 million contract says so.
An unnatural talent, in a position of need, at the third? Yes, please.
