Virtually improving already

The NFL has restricted the first nine weeks of all NFL teams’ training programs. That translates into online meetings discussing various matters, establishing workout regiments for each player, and then relying upon the players to ensure they have worked out in accordance with their personalized workout plan.

Right now, the Rams are in virtual offseason mode. What does that consist of? How are the Rams players and coaches adjusting to this new offseason format? Thankfully, Brooke Kromer provided a detailed video interview of her father, Rams offensive line coach Aaron Kromer, at a time when so many fans have the offensive line at the top of their Rams’ discussions.

Coach Kromer showed complete comfort throughout the interview. Per Kromer, the Rams’ IT department has configured the coach with the ability to hold ZOOM meetings in real-time with all the players just like the team’s meeting room. His setup allows him to pull up game footage and focus upon specific players and plays, using a handheld video remote similar to his meeting room.  He can then review the footage and discuss the training technique, and all players are actively monitoring the video footage as well as have an active presence in the virtual meeting room.
