Time to embrace the LA Rams’ perfect imperfections
By Bret Stuter
Flawed, but formidable
While other teams face a season where an injury-riddled offensive line forces the organization to plan for 2020, the Rams doubled down on winning now and fell just one victory away from doing so. The LA Rams play with heart.
It’s easy to find flaws and mistakes with the Rams. The team neither masks them nor holds them up as an excuse to cease competing in the NFL. This LA Rams team simply continues to go about its business, working to improve the roster, improve the strategy, and win the next game. The team remains focused.
The Rams may have struggled in 2019 at the offensive line, but the team continued to work hard. In the process, the team discovered success with two tight-end formations which helped the team in both the running and passing games.
Have the Rams made mistakes in 2020? We can all count the ways. But this is a team the embraces the difficulties and invites all fans to do so as well. This team has an “it” factor. The team finds undrafted players like Cory Littleton, who sign multi-year contracts and become one of the highest-paid players at their position. The team has a date with destiny.
