LA Rams News: 2020 preseason schedule set
By Bret Stuter
Post Preseason thoughts
The LA Rams do not end the preseason as a finished product. But the signs for a positive season show up for those seeking hope. Rams backup quarterback John Wolford looks every bit the part of NFL hurler, and the Rams running backs have a solid go of it. Darell Henderson particularly will show up with an attitude in the preseason.
While the Rams will flirt with two tight end sets, don’t look for much of TE Johnny Mundt in the backfield. Look for the team to spring that one on the Dallas Cowboys in the season opener. But there will be enough on-field samples of what the Rams want to do.
Personnel packages presentation
Personnel packages will flash occasionally, particularly in games three and four, regardless of who is on the field. Will the Rams go 2-4-5 or 3-3-5, or 5-2-4, or even 2-3-6? Will the Rams’ offense use more 12 personnel formations?
Preseason is less about W-L records than it is about individual performances, personnel packages, and seeing how the Rams coaching staff plans to attack down and distance situations in the regular season. We have many questions about the Rams in 2020. Soon, we’ll start getting some definitive answers.
