Provocation Incorporated

Skip Bayless’ arguments are not intended to be factually representative of any issues at hand. They are designed to anger and provoke fans into telling friends and having them view the controversial views. In a similar fashion, he promotes anything associated with the Dallas Cowboys, Michael Jordan over LeBron James, and practically any hot take of the day. Bayless is paid to generate views and buzz.

And he does that. He argues that Tom Brady is more valuable than Aaron Donald. Is he?  Can a player from any other team slide into the Rams defense and earn an All-Pro designation?  What about the opposite? Can any other quarterback slide into New England’s potent offense and win games?  We’ll find out this year.

Silver Lining

Of course, there is a silver lining whenever a topic gets the attention of Undisputed’s Bayless. He only chooses topics, where he believes, that millions already have strong opinions on either side. The fact that he has chosen to stand against the LA Rams and defensive lineman Aaron Donald implies that there is strong support for both the Rams and Aaron Donald right now.  Why is that good, if it brings the controversial Skip Bayless to talk about one of the most likable superstars in the NFL today?

Fox Sports Undisputed host Skip Bayless will always toss inflammatory comments into explosive topics and situations. He lives and dies by the volume of views charging in to agree or decry his extremism.  The reality is that he profits by opposing a silent majority.  That means that the national take of these LA Rams winning somewhere between five-eight games this season is a mirage. Headlines do not make claims factual. In the end, the LA Rams are a far better team than many proclaim. And even after all the Bayless rants, Aaron Donald remains the number one ranked player in the NFL.
