The Good TEs include George Kittle and Tyler Higbee

San Francisco 49ers Tight end George Kittle is the top tight end in the NFC West. Meanwhile, LA Rams tight end Tyler Higbee is a close second. Consider Kittle as the number one guy and Higbee is the number 1A guy. Let’s take a closer look at both of them.

In 2019, Kittle caught 85 passes for 1053 yards with 5 touchdowns. He caught 79.4 percent of the passes thrown to him. Kittle averaged 12.4 yards per reception. But the 49ers have added help at wide receiver for 2020, and the word is out – stop Kittle. Can he repeat that performance? Many fantasy football aficionados remain bullish on Kittle for 2020.

High on Higs

Last season, Higbee caught 69 passes for 734 yards with 3 touchdowns. He caught 77.5 percent of the passes thrown to him. Higbee averaged 10.6 yards per reception.

In a standard fantasy scoring system, each player receives one point for a reception, one point for every 10 yards receiving and six points for a touchdown. Kittle scored 220 fantasy points in 2019. Higbee scored 160 fantasy points last season.

Expect Kittle to have better numbers than Higbee because of the nature of each offensive scheme. Kittle is a prime target in the San Francisco pass philosophy. Higbee is the third option in the Rams aerial assault. Draft Kittle if available but don’t rule out Higbee in the Rams offense.
