LA Rams All-Pro Aaron Donald sports apparel banks on positive messaging

The more you learn about LA Rams All-Pro defensive linemen Aaron Donald, the more there is to love about the guy. After all, here is a guy who was a standout NFL prospect in the draft class of 2014, but who many scouts and analysts discounted because he was too small to withstand the physicality of playing at the line of scrimmage.  So he proved them wrong.

He is a player who had no hesitation to lobby for his friend and teammate Michael Brockers as the Rams tried to mete out limited salary dollars to many players with expired contracts in 2020.  In a surprising development, the Ravens declined to do so, creating the opportunity for the Rams to swoop in and reclaim Brockers.  That will likely lead to Brockers and Donald having one of their best seasons ever together.

Meanwhile, Aaron Donald is carrying positive messaging that extra yard. He is the founder of The AD99 Solutions Foundation, an organization that aims to change the trajectory of Pittsburgh’s most vulnerable youth by providing the necessary resources needed in a free, safe environment so they may excel athletically, academically, and socially. While many professional athletes sponsor worthwhile community charities, the work of AD99 Solutions Foundation is particularly heart-warming in that he has reached back to help young people where he himself grew up.

Aaron Donald is not about chasing headlines or spotlights. He delivers excellent play on the football field, and the headlines and spotlights seek him out.  He is the type of professional athlete worth looking up to, emulating, and following in the footsteps of. At the end of the day, we all want this world to be a better place than the one we arrived at.  And to do that, we all contribute our part to the positive direction.  Aaron Donald is certainly doing his part. And for the rest of us? We can all benefit from his example.
