LA Rams could replace Jalen Ramsey with Tyson Campbell
Cornerback Tyson Campbell would be a good replacement for Ramsey. Campbell plays collegiately at the University of Georgia. This upcoming season will be his junior season, and he stands 6-feet-2 weighing 185 pounds. He has made 60 tackles with 5 passes defended. Most importantly, he will continue to improve and get better.
Speed is Campbell’s calling card. He was timed at the 4.27-second 40-yard dash in 2017. The Rams really need a cover corner who can match opposing NFC West wideout speedsters step for step. Campbell will need to add some muscle to his frame. Strength is needed to negate receivers from creating space to catch passes. He will have to outmuscle receivers for balls on fade routes in end zone situations.
Huge upside
Charlie Campbell of walterfootball.com gives a brief description of the cornerback’s potential:
"Campbell is a streaky player with some ups and downs, but he has plenty of upside to develop. Team sources have said that Campbell has a ton of potential but needs development and is raw."
The LA Rams could take him in round two of the draft. Walterfootball.com projects him to be taken on day 1 or day 2. Remember, the LA Rams had already used their round-one pick on Ramsey. Hopefully, they can find gold in Campbell.
