LA Rams could hire Ken Norton Jr

If you want a head coach with a championship pedigree, Ken Norton Jr is your guy. His father was a world’s heavyweight boxing champion. In football? He won three Super Bowl rings as a player.

Norton played college football at UCLA. The Dallas Cowboys drafted him as the 41st overall selection of the 1988 NFL Draft in round 2. He won his first Super Bowl in 1992 and another in 1993 with Dallas.

The following season, Norton signed with San Francisco. He won his third consecutive Super Bowl championship. Norton is the only person in the Super Bowl era to win three consecutive Super Bowls.

Player to coach

After a successful playing career, Norton became the linebackers coach at Southern Cal in 2004. He spent six seasons at the collegiate level. In 2010, he joined the Seattle Seahawks, as a member of the coaching staff.

He coached linebackers for five seasons. Norton became the defensive coordinator for the Oakland Raiders in 2015. He returned to Seattle as the defensive coordinator in 2018.

Some Rams fans may prefer to have a head coach with an offensive background. Others may rejoice to have a defensive-minded head coach. Most of all, a three-time Lombardi Trophy winner would be the perfect choice for all fans.

Here is the next coach who could possibly replace McVay.
