LA Rams News: Now that the NFL has banned jersey swaps in 2020, here are 5 coveted jersey swaps we won’t see in 2020

From the moment reports surfaced that the NFL was prohibiting players swapping jerseys after the game, the NFL drew the curtain on one of the more entertaining photo opportunities after a game is played. The LA Rams players have been swapping jerseys for some time.  It adds a new dimension to the game – placing NFL players into roles as fans of other NFL players.

So what is the report?


Yes, you read that correctly. After an entire game of direct body contact, it will be too risky to get within 6 feet of one another.

Great optics, bad mechanics

And there you have it. Much like the home that is falling apart on the inside, but has new siding and a freshly paved driveway on the outside, this policy looks good. After 60 Gametime minutes of blocking, tackling, defending, and covering, the NFL was players to maintain a six-feet distance from one another, and will not be allowed to exchange jerseys.  So what, you ask?

It’s not a huge step either way or is it? The more the concept circles in my mind, the greater the perceived loss to the fans of football. After all, with the likelihood of limited seating for the NFL games, those Kodak moments will be treasured for years to come.
