The WR “Pack” (3 of 5)

7- The fact that Washington State University wide receiver Easop Winston was the favorite target of both Jacksonville Jaguars starting quarterback Gardner Minshew and Seattle Seahawks rookie quarterback Aaron Gordan should tell you all you need to know about this player. But let’s give you a bit more, okay? He’s 6-foot-0 and weighs 192-pounds. In just two seasons at WSU, he pulled in 137 catches for 1624 yards and 19 touchdowns. That’s a lot of production in just two seasons. He was frequently projected to the San Francisco 49ers, as his style is uncannily similar to Emmanuel Sanders, a veteran who has since signed with the New Orleans Saints. Look for him to stick with the Rams, either on the practice squad, or all the way to the 53-man roster.

6- Syracuse wide receiver Trishton Jackson mysteriously fell from his round two-three projection to the LA Rams after the 2020 NFL Draft. His 2020 NFL Scouting Combine performance was impressive, as his video reveals. Standing an ideal 6-foot-1 and weighing 197-pounds, he has the size and body mass to play at the NFL physicality level. His 4.5-second 40-yard dash time is faster than that of LA Rams receiver Josh Reynolds. As Reynolds is playing in the last year of his contract, look for Jackson to stick with the team.

5- If Fate smiles upon the LA Rams this year, then Brandon Polk will be every bit as good as his athletic measurements promise. After the Rams traded away speedster receiver Brandin Cooks, the days of stretching the field with a fast pass-catcher seemed to fade away. Hold the presses! Polk is actually faster. At 5-foot-9 and 180-pounds, he could be quite the steal for the Rams if he is merely a decent return specialist. The Rams pitched the entire concept of the punt returner, kick returner, and backup wide receiver to him before the NFL Draft, and he was excited about the opportunity. Faster than Cooks opens a lot of opportunities for Polk. Looks like we’ll get to see just how fast he is soon.
