53-man Roster Cuts
The Rams have made the following cuts to reduce the team’s roster to the 53-man active roster limit.
September 1 – Roster 79
Per The Athletic’s Jourdan Rodrigue, the team reported that ILB Travin Howard’s injured his meniscus, which would require surgery and end his season. The Rams will place Howard on Injured Reserve, effectively opening a roster spot.
September 4 – Roster 77
Per both Tom Peliserro and Jourdan Rodrigue, the LA Rams have chosen drafted rookie Sam Sloman as their kicker. Since the team will only go with one kicker, both Lirim Hajrullahu and Austin MacGinnis will be cut.
September 4 Roster – 63
The Rams have yet to announce the assignment to the injured reserve of Travin Howard and A’Shawn Robinson.
September 5, 2020 – Roster 52

The team waived injured Justin Lawler, and have placed Travin Howard on Injured reserve and A’Shawn Robinson on the reserve/non-football injury list.
That leaves the team at three inside linebackers. The Rams can recall a player if they do not come to an agreement with an inside linebacker.
September 6- Roster at 53
Per Tom Pelissero, the LA Rams claimed former Denver Broncos linebacker Justin Hollins off waivers. Hollins is a 6-foot-5 linebacker who played edge but was cross-training at inside with Coach Staley. Hollins can add value both inside and outside for the Rams.
September 9 – Roster reset to 53.
The Rams made several roster moves, beginning by placing OLB Terrell Lewis on Reserve/NFI. He will be eligible to return to the roster in three weeks. In his place, the Rams have signed RB Raymond Calais
Keep in mind many of these players will likely end up on the team’s practice squad
