Sweet November bye week
WEEK 8· Sun 11/01· 10:00 am PT @ Miami Dolphins (5-11)
The Miami Dolphins defense is a bit tougher this year, But the Dolphins went all-in on reloading the roster with rookies in a season where rookies are at a distinct disadvantage. And the NFL schedule for the Dolphins is as tough as they get in the early part of the season. The Dolphins may be an improved team, but their season may not see even five victories.
The Rams may be looking at a bye week, but they take care of business in this one. Look for the Rams pass rush to overwhelm the young Dolphins offensive line. Meanwhile, the Rams offense opens up after an embarrassing loss.
Rams 42 Dolphins 17 (Rams 7-1, Dolphins 2-6)
WEEK 9 Sun 11/08 BYE WEEK
The Rams week 9 bye week is well-timed, as the team needs a week to rest and heal up. The last three games in November are a tough challenge.
WEEK 10· Sun 11/15· 1:25 pm PT hosting Seattle Seahawks (11-5)
The LA Rams and the Seattle Seahawks are always well-matched opponents. Their games are both entertaining and good for some highlight reels. In this one, the Seahawks travel to Los Angeles, where the Rams typically hold the upper hand. Despite adding Jamal Adams, the Rams play better on both sides of the ball in this one.
The Rams can contain Seahawks QB Russell Wilson, and their pass defense will keep the Seahawks grounded. A strong showing places the Rams in the NFC West driver’s seat. So, the Rams show up strong.
Rams 29 Seahawks 13 (Rams 8-1 Seahawks 6-3)
The name of the game is revenge
WEEK 11· Mon 11/23· 5:15 pm PT @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-9)
The showdown of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers against the LA Rams finally arrives. Although this game is played by a much different Buccaneers team, the Rams haven’t forgotten the shellacking suffered at the hands of the Bucs offense. But this one is not in Los Angeles, but rather is on the East Coast.
Still, the Bucs are a “best team money can buy” in a year when the chemistry is very tough to come by. Just sign top free agents, shake, and pour out a Super Bowl contender? If it were only that easy. This is another high scoring affair, but the Rams secondary is far more prepared to play in this one. Besides, the Bucs are caught looking ahead at their game against the Kansas City Chiefs the following week.
Rams 42 Bucs 31 (Rams 9-1, Buccaneers 8-3)
WEEK 12· Sun 11/29· 1:05 pm PT hosting San Francisco 49ers (13-3)
The Rams and the 49ers will split games this year. Since we have the Rams winning on the road, that means that the 49ers win a close road game. Deebo Samuel should be back from injury, and rookie Brandon Aiyuk should be making an impact on the 49ers offense as well. But the story is the 49ers running game, which shows up in this one.
The Rams play well, but not well enough to win.
49ers 28 Rams 24 (Rams 9-2, 49ers 7-4)
