In LA Rams News: The NFL has lifted the moratorium banning team-player contact without a contract offer in place, heating the NFL Free Agency market

For now, the LA Rams are likely not projected to be active in the NFL Free Agency market. But the NFL Free Agency market may heat up once more. Even while NFL teams are waiving players to prune down to roster limits, some teams are facing the unexpected roster challenges of player opt-outs leaving their roster with too little depth before the regular season decision to pare down to 53-players.

In response, the NFL has finally removed the moratorium imposed upon NFL teams meeting with players except to sign an agreed-upon contract and conduct the required medical exam to certify the player can participate in football activities.

This action is anticipated to heat up the embers of the NFL Free Agency market once more.

Rules continue to be tweaked

Of course, there are many details to the letter provided to NFL teams on the subject. Teams are limited to eight player-tryouts per day, Additionally, incoming players must still be separated from players while they undergo testing for COVID-19.
