The LA Rams are likely most concerned with Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott. Here are 3 ways the LA Rams stuff him for under 100 yards

The LA Rams are ready and set. They are simply waiting on the GO to head into their season opener with the Dallas Cowboys. Of course, the season opener is both the best game and the worst game of the season.  It’s the worst game because everything is unknown, and virtually nothing is known.  Without the evidence of previous games this season, the team can be as good as the imagination allows, or as bad as the deepest of fears.

After the teams put a game in the history books, logic begins to take over. The Rams will win this game because:: And then we fill in the blanks with positive historical evidence we had observed in the previous game. Or the spin can justify a reason for a loss and the same argument can be made in the opposite direction.

Cowboy rules apply

But there is a special set of rules that apply this week.  This is the first week of 2020. By all accounts, this offseason narrative has been about how good the 8-8 Dallas Cowboys will be, and how bad the 9-7 LA Rams will be.  Curiously, while the Rams draft class did not have the ‘stars’ as the Cowboys, the Rams draft class will likely be far more impacting in 2020.

Just as the Cowboys media has promoted CeeDee Lamb as their top wide receiver of the 2020 NFL Draft, the Rams have seen a pretty good argument for rookie Van Jefferson on the practice field and scrimmaging against cornerback Jalen Ramsey.  That litmus test will soon be applied to Lamb.
