The Skill Positions
The skill positions can be huge playmakers capable of making big plays down the field and opening up opportunities for the backfield. The NFL All-Money team brings it again. A couple of really good receivers and neutralize the effectiveness of a defensive front. A top tier tight end could mean the difference between a sack and a completion downfield.
Wide Receivers: DeAndre Hopkins, Arizona Cardinals ($25.27M per year average); Julio Jones ($22M per year average)
The thing to note from the start with these two receivers is that they are both big-bodied players. Size oftentimes creates more opportunities down the field for big plays, and both of these receivers are big-play threats every play.
DeAndre Hopkins is an outstanding, physical receiver with a good catch radius. His physicality is the biggest strength of his game as it allows him to dominate. The same can be said about Julio Jones, who I believe is much more athletic than Hopkins. Both receivers are invaluable to their quarterbacks and provide unique opportunities to their offenses that are difficult for other teams to replicate.
Tight End: George Kittle, San Francisco 49ers ($15M per year average)
“The people’s player,” Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson declared in the hype up video before the kickoff of the Super Bowl this past February, and he wasn’t kidding. George Kittle has quickly become a fan favorite for his brash, physical, blue-collar style of playing that unlocks a lot of opportunities for his team in both the run game and as a receiving threat. Kittle is an excellent blocker as well as a great receiver. His highlights are filled with outstanding catches and devastating blocks.
That’s the people’s tight end.
