5 LA Rams who can apply QB pressure not named Aaron Donald
By Bret Stuter

I – Floyd
OLB Leonard Floyd did not show up big in the stats, but he showed up big in the game. With 68 defensive snaps, he finished the game with four tackles and one sack. He recorded one of the three Rams sacks in the games. If anyone expected a multi-sack 10 tackle performance from the first-time Rams Floyd, the problem was the expectation, not the production.
Floyd is the glue. He is an edge setter, a pass rusher, a run stopper, and a pass defender. The fact that the Cowboys threw nothing in his direction is in itself a win for the Rams defense. He had a great game playing on the same defense as Aaron Donald, and it’s about to get better.
Floyd is about to have a big game
The LA Rams defensive line is about Aaron Donald. But the edge-rushing is all about Leonard Floyd this year. Washington got after Wentz with both Ryan Kerrigan and Chase Young off the edge last week. This week, the Eagles will do everything in their power to keep Donald away from Wentz. That means Floyd is about to have a big game.
dark. Next. LA Rams contend with a much healthier and stronger Phidalelphia Eagles in week 2
One of the ways the Eagles will try to help Wentz is to move him around in the pocket. Wherever Donald is, Wentz moves to the other side. Leonard Flolyd is okay with that. Flushing the quarterback to his side just means fewer steps for a sack. Rams fans are eager to see signs of Leonard Floyd delivering in the role vacated by Dante Fowler Jr. from a year ago. Floyd is already on his way. One week, one sack.
