LA Rams offensive line has even tougher task this Sunday

The next challenge
Conversely, the Philadelphia Eagles were able to pressure Washington quarterback Dwayne Haskins rather regularly. Haskins only had 2.2 seconds to throw the ball, which was only 23rd-best in the NFL. And for those who think that the Rams offensive line can handle that, the Eagles defensive line appears to be getting some very talented reinforcements this week.
That will make it interesting. The fully healthy defensive line of the Philadelphia Eagles is one of the best in the NFL without Aaron Donald, and they know that they must have a good game to win. Conversely, the LA Rams know that they have a long way to go before they are respected this season, and showing up big against the Eagles will go a long way to earning some respect.
The Eagles defense starts up front
The Eagles are a pretty solid defense, and they invested into the defensive line to make it even more dangerous. One of the Eagles marquis free agent signings in the offseason was to bring in former Steelers defensive tackle Javon Hargrave. Of course, they also picked up a stellar cornerback in Darious Slay. Still, it’s very clear that the Eagles are betting the bank on pressure upfront to win their games.
The Eagles showed little to no interest in their safety position. And while Slay makes the Eagles secondary legit, their lack of drafted talent at defensive backs places even more pressure on the defensive line. That means wins that make the defense look unbeatable. It also opens the door to shrewd offensive coaches to outflank the NFL’s version of the Maginot Line and shred them for yards and scores seemingly at will. The Rams coaching staff hopes this week is more of the latter.
