The LA Rams balanced offense masks the abundance of talent on this team

The LA Rams continue to spread the wealth on offense. Some offenses simply play the same old tune on offense. For example, the Buffalo Bills will try very hard to get passes to WR Stefon Diggs.  Other offenses, lacking stars, will spread the ball around. The Cincinnati Bengals will toss passes to a large number of receivers because no one player has emerged as the “go-to” guy.

But that is not the case for the LA Rams. On the contrary, the Rams offense is saturated with “go-to” guys. The Rams boast Robert Woods, Cooper Kupp, Josh Reynolds, and Van Jefferson at the receiver position. Both tight end Tyler Higbee and Gerald Everett can put up 100 yards as well. As far as the running game, the Rams have featured both Malcolm Brown and Darrell Henderson in the first two games.  Between Brown and Henderson, the Rams have rushed over 200 yards and for three touchdowns.

Bills have to stop… everything

The Buffalo Bills defense starts up front with a solid defensive line that can and will get to the passer. The Bills have six quarterback sacks in just two games. The LA Rams have only allowed two sacks, one in each of the first two games. How? Well quarterback Jared Goff has an incredibly quick release this year. The offensive line is holding up very well in pass protection. And the Rams offense specifically designs plays that give multiple options to slowing down an aggressive pass rush.

I think the Buffalo Bills will do very well in the AFC East this year, and well in 2020 overall.  But in this one, we have five good reasons why the LA Rams will win. There are more, but at some point, we have to draw a line in the sand.  The Rams are a very talented team, and the players are still getting better, maturing, and learning the playbook. It was too easy for so many to believe the Rams didn’t have much of a chance for success this year. Now it’s time to make it that much more difficult to make them admit that they were wrong.
