LA Rams uniform tracker: Week 7 update
By John Vogel
Home Look: Blue jersey over yellow pants
This is the classic Rams look that won an entire generation of Rams fans in the 1970’s only now with a more modern, neon vibe to the color scheme. This is the classic look of the Los Angeles Rams, the one that really catches the eye on the television. It’s a wonder why the franchise went away from the look for as long as they did, while instead focusing on a darker, more majestic vibe in royal blue and gold.
No, the yellow and bright blue screams fun, which is what the Rams offense has been to watch this year. The gradient number scheme adds an interesting touch to the uniform, and it’s taken a while to get used to the weird Rams name patch on the right shoulder. However, it’s a nice touch with the overall intensity of the uniform. The entire concept screams Pittsburgh University, where star defensive tackle Aaron Donald played college ball.
Record: 2-0
Average score per game: Rams 21 -10.
So far this season, the Rams have taken down the New York Giants and the Chicago Bears at home while wearing this combo. The Giants fell, 17-9, in a very tightly contested week four matchup at SoFi Stadium. Monday Night, the Bears toppled, 24-10.
You can’t argue with the results. The Rams defense has stepped up to the task every time so far they have donned the uniform combo. Maybe Aaron Donald just feels more at home wearing this combo. Who knows?
