V – The LA Rams found starting safety Jordan Fuller in round six
While the fact that a player like Ohio State University’s Jordan Fuller might intrigue the LA Rams in the 2020 NFL Draft, nobody expected him to fall to the team in the sixth round. But there he was, and the LA Rams were ecstatic to scoop him up with the 199th pick of the 2020 NFL Draft.
Fuller was a solid and versatile defensive back in the Ohio State Buckeye’s defense. He was a strong pass defender, who played his best deep in the secondary. Fortunately, that is exactly what the Rams were looking for.
Van Jefferson & Cam Akers had their 1st career scrim TDs. Jordan Fuller had his 1st career INT.

The Rams are the first team to have 2 rookies score their 1st TD and a rookie have his 1st INT in a game in Wk 10 or later since the 1974 Steelers -- who went on to win Super Bowl IX.
As a result, Jordan Fuller is an outstanding addition to this Rams defense.
Keeps getting better
Fuller is not perfect. In fact, he is still in his rookie season, seeing teams and offenses for the first time of his young NFL career. It’s that fact that makes him such a special addition to this defense. You see, this is his first NFL defense, and he plays on it like a four-year veteran. His absence was noticeable when the Rams struggled in pass defense against the San Francisco 49ers. While Taylor Rapp improved in other games, the Rams are much more confident with Fuller on the field.
Fun Fact: The Rams are 5-0 when rookie S Jordan Fuller plays, and 2-3 when he does not.

The fun part of having rookie safety on the field is the fact that the Rams are undefeated when he’s out there. That includes both wins against the Seahawks and the Buccaneers. That is pretty significant because it means that these Rams can go toe-to-toe with NFL Playoff caliber teams when Jordan Fuller is playing.
