LA Rams 2021 NFL Draft: Mock Draft 1.1
The LA Rams’ current crop of NFL Draft picks is a little lighter than most. The Rams have traded their first and fourth rounds picks to the Jacksonville Jaguars, and their fifth-round pick away to the Cleveland Browns. That means that the Rams will not have a top-pick of the draft once more. It also means that the Rams will need to be very effective with the few picks that the team does have.
With the NFL and college football regular season coming, now is the perfect time for a mock draft to reload the Rams team for 2021. As the Rams do not have a first-round pick this year due to the Trade for Ramsey, the front office will have to wait for the second round to make their first selection. After the second the Rams have a third-round pick, a fourth-round pick, one-sixth, and one-seventh.
What about comp picks?
According to OverTheCap.com, the Rams are projected to have compensatory picks in the third and fourth round for outside linebacker Dante Fowler Jr. and inside linebacker Cory Littleton. While that’s not set in stone these compensatory picks are in as the projection stands. Adding all of the picks together means the Rams will have six picks in 2021.
In this mock, I tried to predict the offseason losses from free agency and tight cap space. You could say I channeled my inner Les Snead (WWLSD). If the Rams are to be successful smart with this draft. With that being said let’s start to get this mock draft going.
