LA Rams: 5 Players to watch for at the upcoming Senior Bowl
The LA Rams have exited the NFL Playoffs, and are now focused upon restoring the executives and coaches while restocking the team’s roster. We are officially in offseason mode and with no NFL Scouting Combine this year. That means that the senior bowl will be pivotal for every team’s draft board. There’s some tremendous talent that has been invited this year and with general manager Les Snead’s history of picking players from the senior bowl, Rams fans should be locked in on this game.
The Rams have a few needs to fill for next season and the future in certain positions. So I went ahead and dove into which players will most likely be there for the Rams and the top five players fans should keep their eyes on for evaluation throughout the January 30th contest.
1. LT, NDSU Dillon Radunz
As far as we all know, star left tackle Andrew Whitworth should be returning for the 2021 season. But what about the future for the Rams? At 6-foot-6 and 301-pounds, this monster of a tackle could be a stalwart on the line Rams line for the next decade. Per the draft network, he plays with good overall athleticism in regards to body control and balance. He has a nasty disposition as a run blocker and wants to maul you.
It certainly seems like this would be an ideal scheme fit for offensive line coach Aaron Kromer on the offensive line to keep that run game working as fluidly as it was this past year when Whitworth was in the game. Now, the Rams might like what they saw from offensive lineman Joseph Noteboom; But if they want a nasty mauler with an attitude such as offensive lineman Trent Williams, they should give Radunz a hard look.
With so little valid information on draft prospects this year, LT Radunz might be sitting there at 57 when the Rams make their first selection.
The LA Rams would certainly benefit from adding a top offensive lineman in this draft.
