How Matthew Stafford alters the Rams NFL Draft Plans
By John Vogel
The Roster doesn’t really have weaknesses overall
The Rams just became Super Bowl favorites following this trade. This roster is loaded on paper and the main bulk of the talent is locked under contract long term. Here are the gaps that the Rams will need to figure out from last year;
RB Malcolm Brown (Cam Akers may just do the trick with that)
WR Josh Reynolds (Van Jefferson had a good rookie season and should step up immediately)
C Austin Blythe (I expect the Rams will resign Blythe)
RUSH EDGE Leonard Floyd (fingers crossed on Terrell Lewis…)
CB Troy Hill and Darious Williams (This might be an issue, with just David Long left on the roster)
I think that the Rams could use an upgrade at the linebacker position, so we’ll add that as a potential issue too. I’ve talked about some of the guys who might still be on the board around the second-round pick in this class, between North Carolina linebacker Chazz Surratt and LSU linebacker Jabril Cox Jr. We’ll get into that later on in this article.
