The LA Rams have a larger than the typical number of moving pieces in the offseason right now. After all, the addition of quarterback Matthew Stafford has caused the team’s offseason checklist to go a bit topsy-turvy already. 

Where the Rams defense should have been due for a tune-up, the offense will likely command the lion’s share of offseason activity once more.  After all, the offense just added a new signal-caller, and will no doubt want to accessorize him to the hilt. That means shoring up the offensive line, adding a blocking back (fullback), adding a bona fide deep threat to this offense,

The Rams have gotten a lot of mileage out of their roster. Unlike many teams who rotate in younger players quickly, the LA Rams have set the precedent with sticking to veteran players for as long as possible. That is particularly true on the offense, which is almost micro-managed by head coach Sean McVay.

Of course, rookies seem to crack the starting lineup on defense at a noticeably faster pace. Perhaps that is so because the defense roster relies upon input from other coaches. That has not adversely affected the team’s defensive performance. On the contrary, the defense seems to excel with a blend of both veteran and rookie contributions.

Another offseason, and another wave of outbound veterans eager to make their mark on the NFL, and in the process, earn a big payday. For now, they may be happy with a larger role on their next team. After all, there is a ceiling as to what they will be able to do and earn, as a member of the Rams organization next season.  So who are these outbound hopefuls?
