LA Rams mock draft snags snarler center in 2021 NFL Draft

Interior offensive lineman
With the 57th pick of the 2021 NFL Draft, the Los Angeles Rams select Interior offensive lineman Landon Dickerson from the University of Alabama. Why an offensive lineman so early? Well, for three reasons. First and foremost, the LA Rams will need to ensure that their latest valued addition, quarterback Matthew Stafford, has a good pocket to pass from.
Secondly, the LA Rams are thin at the center position, and this is the ideal time to add a new snapper to the offensive line to synch up with the Rams’ two young offensive guards. And lastly, the Rams need a solid push from the offensive line to boost the running game in 2021. Offensive lineman Landon Dickerson is a very gifted young man, who stands 6-foot-6 and tips the scale at 325 pounds.
Dickerson can play each offensive line position and play well. He began his career at Florida State University as a left tackle, so he has played on the same offense as the Rams running back Cam Akers. He is one mean son-of-a-gun, let me tell you. While he started at left tackle, he eventually transferred to the University of Alabama where he played the center position. He played center so well that he won the Rimington Award for the best center in college football. So how can we expect him to fall?
He suffered a knee injury, his second knee injury of his career. But even after the injury, he was suited up and taking snaps. He suffered a torn ACL in the SEC championship game, but he wanted to take the field with his teammates. Now, he’ll have to remove the medical flags in an offseason without a collective NFL Scouting Combine. If you recall, medical flags were brutal to rookie hopefuls.
