The debate over the LA Rams offensive line is rapidly surging on social media and in the comments section of most articles. So much so that this new debate may eventually overshadow and replace the intensity of the debate over former LA Rams quarterback Jared Goff. It comes down to one simple question: Is the LA Rams offensive line a unit of strength or weakness for the team in 2021?

One simple question? Yes. But if you pose the question to two different LA Rams fans, you can end up with three or more answers. And that’s tough to address in one article. Now, every contributor who writes quickly discovers that someone out there won’t like an article. And that’s okay. We don’t want to please everyone. The goal is simply to put a topic out there to inform and open the way for intelligent debate and discussion.

We often find ourselves locked in that intellectual sparring, but how often do we pause and accept that all sides are correct under certain conditions. In short, one side can be correct without the expense of the opposing view being wrong. And in the case of the LA Rams offensive line, both sides actually are. You see, it depends on which game and which version you are citing.

The LA Rams had several injuries to offensive linemen. So, let’s work on this topic by ranking the offensive line configuration from worst to best? In the 2020 season, the Rams had three injuries that triggered a new player to step up.  There was a knee injury to left tackle Andrew Whitworth, a calf injury to left guard Joseph Noteboom, and an ankle injury to left guard David Edwards.
