Syracuse safety

The LA Rams will likely be parting ways with projected free agent safety John Johson III. However you believe the LA Rams will fill the starting role, one thing is certain. The Rams depth chart at safety becomes shallow in 2021

Syracuse free safety Andre Cisco would be an excellent choice for the LA Rams in the 2021 NFL Draft to correct that shortfall.  At 6-foot-0 and 203-pounds, Cisco became the poster-child for NCAA defensive backs defined as a ballhawk. Displaying his unbelievable playmaking ability in 2018 as a true freshman, he put up an incredible seven interceptions along with nine pass deflections and a forced fumble in just 13 games.

Despite his young age and inexperience on the national stage, Cisco had one of the best true freshman seasons of all time. In 2019, he received All-American recognition from many college football enthusiasts. In that season, he delivered once more at a high level with five interceptions, five pass deflections as well as a forced fumble.

It seems to be that Cisco has an incredibly amount of untapped potential. Sadly, his junior season came to a devastating end with a torn ACL that will hurt his draft stock significantly. The Rams need to find a true centerfielder that can shut down the deep ball with impressive ball skills and natural instincts for the game of football. As long as Andre Cisco clears any and all medical flags, he would be a solid gem to add to new defensive coordinator Raheem Morris’s defensive arsenal.
