LA Rams interest in UCLA WR/RB Demetric Felton intriguing
By Bret Stuter
The LA Rams show interest in the players that they are truly interested in. Double talk? I’m sorry. I’m just trying to say that the Rams do not waste the time of prospects to lay down a smokescreen. So if you find information from a reliable source that indicates that the LA Rams have contacted a prospect in advance of the upcoming NFL Draft, it tells you two key bits of information.
First and foremost, it illustrates the opinion by the team that the Rams are interested in added depth and talent to the roster for that position. Secondly, and more important to the prospect, it shows that the Rams believe that collegiate athlete has what it takes to make it in the NFL on the Rams roster.
That may not mean much to you, but for someone like myself who is easily sucked into all of the nuances for the Rams’ upcoming draft strategy, this type of information yields a treasure trove of clues. Take for example the current word about the LA Rams meeting with a very popular prospect out of UCLA, WR/RB hybrid Demetric Felton.
If you do not recognize the name, he is part-receiver, part-rusher, and is definitely seeing his stock rise thanks to a solid Senior Bowl showing.
Why Demetric Felton, and why now? Very good questions.
