Door number two
Kelvin Beachum
A former seventh-round pick of the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2012 Draft, Kelvin Beachum started his career as a backup. in 2014, he was named as the starting left tackle started for all 16 games. From 2017-2020, Beachum only missed three games playing for the Jacksonville Jaguars (2016), New York Jets (2017-2019), and the Arizona Cardinals (2020).
Durability: They say the best ability is availability and Kelvin Beachum’s durability is one of his greatest assets. Beachum has been able to stay healthy for the duration of his career which is something the Rams can really use on their line. His experience in the league is something that would be intriguing to add.
Veteran Presence: Beachum has been in the NFL for quite a while, but at the age of 31.7 years of age, still has some tread on his tires. While not a superstar by any means, he has consistently been scored by Pro Football Focus in the 60-69.9 range over the past five years. By contrast, Noteboom scored just within that range for 2020.
Beachum should not cost much on the open market, as he is coming off a one-year $1 million deal with the Cardinals.. Signing Kelvin Beachum to a one or two-year minimum deal seems like a no-brainer. This signing is low risk-high reward signing for a team that needs competition and depth.
