Future LA Rams draft picks: Updated with projected 2022 comp picks

2024 NFL Draft
Okay, even my crystal ball has its limits. Right now, the LA Rams project to step to the podium on day one of the 2024 NFL Draft for the first time in how many years? Eight? Nine? Whatever the duration, if the Rams are indeed using that pick, then it’s likely in the hopes to rebuild a team that went all-in to win it all with a short window of opportunity, and failed to do so.
While that may not result in complete catastrophe, it will likely be signified by the team no longer able to afford either Matthew Stafford, Jalen Ramsey, or Aaron Donald. Of course, if the Rams remain oh-so-close, the team will likely dangle the first-round pick out there to trade for one more elite game changer.
Round 1 – The Rams hold their first-round pick.
Round 2– The Rams hold their second-round pick.
Round 3 – The Rams hold their third-round pick.
Round 4 – The Rams hold their fourth-round pick
Round 5 – The Rams hold their fifth-round pick.
Round 6 -The Rams hold their sixth-round pick.
Round 7 – The Rams hold their seventh-round pick.

COMPENSATORY PICKS: Unable to determine at this time
The LA Rams are very active in trading away draft picks, and just as active in the loss of veteran free agents triggering the awarding of compensatory draft picks in the following year. As long as the team is successful, that pattern will likely not change.
But if something derails the team from getting deep into the playoffs, there will be a reckoning. The mildest version will be the release or trade of highly compensated players. But it could be more significant than that. The Rams were able to reload on the fly rather quickly from the disappointment of the 2019 season, thanks in part to a tremendously successful 2020 NFL Draft. To win in the future, the team will need to be just as successful in the future drafts as well.
