How can LA Rams reboot A’Shawn Robinson this season

Reboot
So now the question is how to reboot the LA Rams defensive front. A year ago, he discovered his medical condition before he was ever able to take the field and learn how to play with his teammates. This year, Robinson will need to start over. While he is familiar enough with his teammates, trainers, and coaches, he will need to approach this season as though he were a new free agent signed to the team this year.
In many ways, he is. After signing on to a two-year deal, the Rams and Robinson reworked that deal into a three-year contract and practically set up year one as though the year was an opt-out year for Robinson. That quick thinking on Robinson’s agent’s part was a savvy way of ensuring a spot in the Rams organization for Robinson for both 2021 and 2022.
That quick thinking also gives Robinson a fighting chance this year of firing on all cylinders at the opening kickoff. Robinson was severely handicapped last year because he was unable to sustain the physical exercise and training required of NFL players to get back into football shape. With that being the case, he needed extra time, not just to grasp the physical execution of the Rams defensive playbook, but being able to perform the plays at the NFL level.
In essence, Robinson was virtually shut down in 2020. When he was brought back, he was always playing a catch-up game with his teammates. Not only did that hamper his participation, but shunted the defense in those areas that projected to improve with Robinson on the field. So now that A’Shawn Robinson should be a full participant of all Rams’ off-season activities, what can the Rams expect from Robinson?
