Can the Cardinals break .500?
Arizona Cardinals
Top Needs: CB • WR • OL • S • RB
8-8 · Total picks: 6
Round 1: No. 16 overall
Round 2: No. 49
Round 5: No. 160

Round 7: (2 picks) Nos. 243, 247 (from Bears through Raiders)
The Arizona Cardinals were oh-so-close in 2020 and now must reassemble a roster. They have 79 players under contract at the moment, leaving just 11 roster spots open to fill. Of course, six of those spots will likely be filled in the draft. A curious article suggests that the Cardinals need quality, not quantity, in this draft. If true, the Cardinals will be trading up after their round two draft pick.
Los Angeles Rams
Top Needs: OL • CB • LB • DL • WR
10-6 · Total picks: 6
Round 2: No. 57 overall
Round 3: Nos. 88, 103
Round 4: No. 141
Round 6: No. 209
Round 7: No. 252
I’m not convinced about the team’s top needs. I see Edge rusher as a need, and wide receiver more like a flourish or augmentation to the roster. With just 67 players signed to contracts, the Rams will need to tap the undrafted free agent well once more. Even with our latest mock draft yielding nine prospects from the draft thanks to two trade backs, the Rams will still need to find up to 14 players to round out the roster. Thanks to an imperfect prospect database, the chance of hitting on a player not drafted is better than ever.
