As LA Rams celebrate Stafford, Goff Wentz must reboot careers
By Bret Stuter
Enthusiasm personified
Let’s be very clear here. The LA Rams have been very competitive with quarterback Jared Goff. After all, a 43-21 record over the past four seasons is quite an accomplishment. And with a 3-3 post-season record that includes a Super Bowl appearance, that is nothing to sneeze at. Many teams would do practically anything for that level of success. But like wealth and power, success can be addictive. The more you have, the more you want.
It’s that desire to uncap the Rams glass ceiling, a desire to get more
And when McVay begins to highlight what Matthew Stafford brings to the Rams offense at the 2:40 mark, McVay winds up into an animated monologue of compliments over what Matthew Stafford can bring to the Rams offense.
But before we jump over to that video, I feel the need to remind everyone that LA Rams head coach Sean McVay is a very verbose man when he is enthusiastic. He’s a very intelligent and insightful football coach. But when he gets on a roll fueled over his enthusiasm over a new player, he can appear to speak incessantly about their virtues in a stream of accolades that appears to defy human physiology.
When does he take a breath?
And so, the LA Rams head coach loves the player he is about to have at the helm of his offense. That could be a very good thing.
